Jack Kenneth Allen

September 9, 1924 - December 2, 2017

Jack Kenneth Allen, of League City, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the age of 93.

A native of Columbus, Texas, Jack proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. After attending boot camp and advanced torpedo school, he was stationed aboard the USS Yosemite, a destroyer tender that maintained torpedoes for the Pacific fleet.

Following his military service, Jack attended the University of Texas where he graduated with a degree in law. He had a true passion for the law and dedicated his lifelong career to serving his community as an attorney.

Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church in Friendswood, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, D. H. and Anna Allen, his identical twin brother, Mack Allen, his older brother, Thomas Allen, and his first wife Genola Allen. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Brazzel-Allen and her daughter Debbie Joiner from League City, Texas, her son Jack "Butch" Brazzel and his wife Stacy from Friendswood, Texas. He is also survived by his daughter Jan Barry and her husband Ed, his sons Tim Allen and his wife Alma, and Rick Allen and his wife Melinda, all from Tyler, Texas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held Saturday, December 9th at 2:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery, Columbus, TX.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Ben Allen, John Allen, Blake Brazzel, Bryce Brazzel, Clay Joiner, and Ben Joiner.
