It was an honor and a blessing to meet Bro. Tom at West End Baptist Church six years ago, and the short time we interacted with him and Sis. Patty made a lasting impact on us. We pray God's sweet comfort for all of the Simmons Family.

Dear Family, Mr. Simmons was a very good person. I took a Botany class from him and it was a pleasure. God Bless You All.

Tom was my brother-in-law and I will miss seeing him when we visit Texas. I can still remember when I first met him. My memories include driving with him and Patty late at night to a drilling site where he inspected the core sample, seeing his terrific pen and ink dot drawings when he was a biology student, hearing him talk sweetly to his cows on the farm in Tyler, and being given tours of his garden and trophy room in Columbus. He was very kind and sweet. I'm sorry that his last few years were difficult but I know he's happy again now.

Mr. Simmons was a wonderful teacher. I so enjoyed his class and he made learning fun. He had a great sense of humor. Sending love and prayers for his family.

Tom was my brother-in-law with a sweet Mississippi drawl. He was a quiet man but always had a story to tell. He named each cow he had and I am sure he told them all some his stories while out in the field with them. He was a proud Korean veteran and had many stories about that part of his life. I loved that drawl and will miss seeing him and hearing it.

Dear Patty and family, so sorry for your loss. We all know he is in such a better place, but the loss always hurts. God be with you all. We are in Oklahoma at a funeral here and I don't know if we will make it back in time. My prayers and heart are with you. Take care of yourself and we will come see you when we get home neighbor. Love to you.
Debbie and Larry.
